Education, being the backbone of
evolutionary process of any society, plays a vital role when it is dispensed
with purposeful aim and objective. Nations steer their way out of shadows of
ignorance when such progression is focused upon unbiased for all the genders.
In a quest to improve dilapidated
state of educational standards specially in far flung areas of smaller
provinces an effort is underway to setup/establish Cadet Colleges for girls, so
as to prepare them for professional and futuristic aims and objectives. Larkana
Girls Cadet College is also one such venture which is likely to change the very
basis of progressive and meaningful educational pursuit for girls of all
segments of society.
The innovative idea to establish
a Cadet College for girls was a brain child of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto
and her dream materialized when the ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yusaf
Raza Gilani visited Cadet College Larkana in 2009 and announced a girls Cadet
College at Larkana.
This noble project of Shaheed
Benazir Bhutto Girls Cadet College Larkana caries lofty goals for young
aspirant girls providing them secure, state of the art and visionary platform
which will serve as spring board for them to be part of Pakistan’s leading
professional institutions. In other words this institution will serve as a
nursery for joining Armed Forces, Medical/ Engineering/ IT universities and
Civil services outfits under the auspices of highly trained and professional
handlers form Armed Forces as well as Civil Sector.
I, alongwith my dedicated team of
Cadet College Larkana initiated this project, in 2017, the soil testing of site
was done, pre-qualifications of contractor was carried out on Dec 2017, the
foundation stone was laid in uninterrupted and by the grace of Allah Almighty,
in record time, we have completed 85 percentage construction work and we are
all set to commission it by commencing classes in mid November this year. Total infrastructure
for 300 students is almost ready and completed.
All relentless and hectic efforts
towards the noble cause of education are the need of hour.
Provision of quality education to
girls in interior part of the province will go a longway by setting a pace for transformation
of our daughters into a responsible citizen of tomorrow. We shall leave no
stone unturned to prove equal to the task.
